2112 held a series of events throughout April celebrating the acquisition of Edward Drapkin's work, "The Doctor".
The Doctor
Rendered in bronze and standing at 18 inches tall, The Doctor is a very personal work for the artist.
Edward was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine and when the city fell to Nazi forces during World War II, many Jewish citizens were taken away, including Edward's twin uncles.
"Their mother never saw them again", he says. One was a medical student before the occupation. "I'm sure that if he were alive, as a medical person, he would have been helping people."
